How to make a pure white background for Amazon product photos
amazon’s main image rules say the background must be pure white (rgb 255, 255, 255) and the product should fill about 85% of the frame. photos taken on a "white" sheet are almost never truly white, so listings get flagged or look gray in search.
the 30-second method
open workhorse, drop your product photo, and wait a second for the cut-out. under background pick color → white. under crop & size pick amazon / shop, which makes a 2000×2000 square with your product centered. turn on a light drop shadow under effects so the product doesn’t look like it’s floating.
many products?
process each photo the same way and download them one at a time. everything runs in your browser, so your catalog never leaves your computer.
checklist
- pure white background, no props or text
- product fills most of the frame
- at least 1600px on the longest side so zoom works
- jpg or png, srgb colors
