How to remove an image background without uploading it anywhere
most online background removers send your photo to their servers. for id documents, signatures, family photos or unreleased products, you might not want that.
how in-browser ai works
modern browsers can run neural networks directly on your graphics card using webgpu. workhorse downloads its ai model once (about 90 mb, then cached) and runs it on your device. the photo is never uploaded: you can even disconnect from the internet after the model loads and it keeps working.
full resolution, free
downloads are free and always at full resolution. the cut-out is made on your device, so nothing is sent to a server.
