how to pomodoro timer for studying
- set your focus and break lengths, or start from a preset page such as 25 and 5, or 50 and 10.
- add the task you are working on and mark it as active.
- press start (or space), and pick an ambient sound if you want one.
- work until the timer ends, take the break, and repeat. a long break comes after your chosen number of rounds.
- check the chart to see how many sessions you finished per day.
studying works better when each session has one clear target: a chapter, a problem set, a set of flashcards. add each of those as a task, make one active, and the tool counts how many sessions it took. over a term that tells you which subjects eat the most time.
this preset does not auto-start the next session, so you can decide whether to review or take a real break. brown noise plays only during focus, and switches off when the break starts. use the break to recall what you just studied from memory without looking, then rest. flashcards and notes are in the other tools on this site.
