how to merge pdf files
- drop two or more pdf files on the box, or click it to choose them. you can add more files later.
- check the page thumbnails. drag pages to reorder them, even between files, and press the cross to drop any page you do not want.
- use sort files by name or reverse pages if you want a quick bulk order.
- press merge and download merged.pdf.
merging copies pages from each source pdf into a new file without re-encoding them, so text stays selectable, links keep working and image quality is unchanged. the output is usually about as big as the inputs added together, a little smaller when the files share fonts.
if the merged file is too large for an email or a portal, run it through compress pdf afterwards. it is better to merge first and compress once than to compress each part.
bookmarks and form fields of the source files are not carried over, only the visible pages. if you need an index, add page numbers after merging with add page numbers to pdf.

yes. in the pages view every page of every file sits in one grid. drag a page from file 2 in between pages of file 1, or use the arrows on a phone. the order you see is the order of the merged pdf.
can i remove a page before merging?
yes. press the cross under a page to drop it from the result. the original files are not changed, and you can add the file again if you change your mind.
why can some pdfs not be added?
files that are damaged, or are not really pdfs with a renamed extension, cannot be read. password-protected files that only restrict printing or editing usually work, but files that need a password to open do not. unlock them first.
