each image becomes one page. with page size set to same as image, the page takes the shape of the photo, so nothing is cropped or padded. with a4 or letter, the image is scaled to fit inside the margin and centered, and auto orientation turns the page to landscape for wide photos.
phone photos are large, often 4000 pixels wide, and a pdf made from ten of them can reach 20 mb or more. for documents, receipts and forms, the balanced quality setting keeps text readable and cuts that to a fraction. keep original quality when the pdf is for printing photos.
to make one pdf from images of different formats, such as png and webp, use the image to pdf page. to arrange pages after creating the pdf, use reorder pdf pages or merge pdf.

frequently asked questions
can i put several jpgs in one pdf?
yes. add as many as you like, drag them into order or use the arrows, and each becomes one page.
are photos rotated correctly?
yes. phone photos are read with their rotation applied, so portrait shots are upright. if one is still sideways, press the rotate button on its thumbnail.
are my images uploaded?
no. the pdf is created in your browser with pdf-lib and your pictures never leave your device.
how do i make the pdf smaller?
set image quality to balanced or small. photos are scaled down to 2000 or 1400 pixels on the long side and re-saved with lighter jpeg compression. a page at a4 size needs about 1650 pixels for sharp printing at 200 dpi, so small is fine for most documents.
what page size should i choose?
same as image keeps each photo whole with no white bars. a4 or us letter gives uniform pages that print properly, with the image centered and scaled to fit inside your margin.
does it keep the original jpeg quality?
original quality redraws each photo at its full size and saves it at 92 percent jpeg quality, which looks identical to the eye. very large photos make very large pdfs, so lower the quality if you need to send it.
