frequently asked questions
what does flatten do?
the default mode burns fillable form fields into the page as normal content, so nobody can change them. text stays selectable.
what is full flatten?
it renders each page to an image, which also bakes in comments, stamps and signatures. text is no longer selectable.
is my pdf uploaded?
no. flattening happens in your browser with pdf-lib and pdf.js.
