which browsers support it?
chrome, edge, safari and other chromium browsers (desktop and android). firefox does not support the web speech api.
is it private?
in chrome and edge the browser sends the audio to its own speech service, so it is not purely on-device. this site never receives or stores your audio.
how do i add punctuation?
most browsers punctuate automatically; you can also say words like period or comma in some languages. edit the text box freely afterwards.
