how to split pdf into single pages

  1. drop your pdf on the box above, or click it to choose a file.
  2. pick a mode: tap pages on the thumbnails, split every page, every n pages, or in half.
  3. for custom pages, choose one file per range or all selected pages in one file. the line under the options shows what you will get.
  4. press split pdf. one result downloads as a pdf, several as a zip.

splitting into single pages is useful for scanned batches where every page is its own document, such as receipts, invoices or tickets. after unzipping you can rename or send each page on its own.

a 200-page pdf becomes 200 small files. the zip is not compressed any further because pdf pages are already compressed, so expect the zip to be a bit bigger than the original, since each page file repeats shared fonts and images.

frequently asked questions

how are the files named?

each file is the original name plus the page number, like contract-page-1.pdf. numbers are not zero padded, so some file managers sort page-10 before page-2.

is there a page limit?

no fixed limit. everything is built in memory, so a few hundred pages is fine on a laptop. on a phone, split very long files in two steps.

can i keep only some pages?

yes. switch to pick pages, select the pages you want and choose one file per range with each page typed as its own range, like 2, 5, 9.
